Photographs from my Christmas break spent in Vienna. The city certainly knows how to dress up for the holidays. I’ll miss the mulled wine and festive lighting. Click here for the full album.
Photographs from the Iranian protests outside the United Nations last week. Let me tell you, Persians are without a doubt the most beautiful race of people, and incredibly polite and helpful towards this budding journalist. Click here for the full album.
Photographs of a preschool Perahera in Seenigama. A Perahera is a Sri Lankan – Buddhist cultural event that happens sometime during the summer. It was baking hot – I don’t know how those kids marched and danced around with bare feet for an hour. Click here for the full album.
Photographs from my latest trip to Unawatuna. The first few were taken at school built after the Tsunami. The rest were taken are two temples, the first of which also doubles up as a school and the second is on land once owned by my grandfather. Click here to see the gallery.
Close-up photographs of my grandfather’s maps of Asia. I think detail in the illustrations is stunning. The oldest map I’ve seen dated so far is from 1631. Click here to see the gallery.
