New Album: Seenigama Preschool Perahera

Photographs of a preschool Perahera in Seenigama. A Perahera is a Sri Lankan – Buddhist cultural event that happens sometime during the summer. It was baking hot – I don’t know how those kids marched and danced around with bare feet for an hour. Click here for the full album.

New Album: Unawatuna June 2009

Photographs from my latest trip to Unawatuna. The first few were taken at school built after the Tsunami. The rest were taken are two temples, the first of which also doubles up as a school and the second is on land once owned by my grandfather. Click here to see the gallery.
